M & J Wilkow proudly announces a most welcome addition to the Capitol Center line up: CAFÉ 1201. The Mezzanine level Café will offer a dine-in and carry out menu featuring weekday breakfast and lunch, with soups, salads, sandwiches, wraps, hot entrees, and desserts. Daily Specials and a "grab and go" fare will also be offered. With improvements nearly completed, a grand opening is planned for late August.
Proprietors Alexandra and Jim Hazelton have expressed their excitement at becoming a part of the Capitol Center family. The couple met in New York, where they both worked after graduating, Alexandra from the Culinary Institute of America and Jim from Peter Kump's school. With family living in Hilton Head and Columbia-South Carolina was a natural choice for home and business. While they continue to operate Dunlin Place Bakery, a wholesale pastry business, Jim and Alexandra see the opening of Café 1201 within Columbia's premier office building as an exciting opportunity. We do too. Buzz is everywhere as excitement grows awaiting the much anticipated opening.
