Chicago, Illinois (March 30, 2016) M & J Wilkow continues its strategic growth with the announcement of two executive hires to its Acquisitions and Asset Management Group.
Tim Shields has joined M & J Wilkow as Senior Vice President of Asset Management. Mr. Shields brings 23 years of experience in the development, acquisition and asset management of real estate. He comes to M & J Wilkow from Ricker Murphy Development, where he served as Senior Vice President, leading real estate development, acquisition, financing, and construction for the Company's major development projects. Mr. Shields also worked as the Director of Investment Services for MB Real Estate, where he was responsible for all investment management activities, including capital market transactions, dispositions, and acquisitions. Mr. Shields will play a key role in new acquisitions for M & J Wilkow's retail and office portfolios, in addition to working as asset manager on several of the Company's retail and office properties. Mr. Shields holds a Bachelor of Accounting degree from Xavier University and is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
Julie Flanzer has joined M & J Wilkow as Vice President and Asset Manager, where she will provide comprehensive support to the acquisitions team in the areas of financial modeling, underwriting, and due diligence for the Company's robust pipeline of real estate transactions. Ms. Flanzer was previously with LaSalle Investment Management, where she assisted in the due diligence of nearly $1 billion in real estate transactions. Ms. Flanzer is a graduate of Brown University and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Commerce, Organizations and Entrepreneurship.
