Wells Fargo & Co.'s Pittsburgh operations have settled into new space downtown.

John Ciccolella, senior vice president and regional vice president for the San Francisco-based financial giant's western Pennsylvania and western New York regional commercial banking offices, confirmed that about 40 staffers have moved to 11 Stanwix Street from Four Gateway Center.

The Wells Fargo (NYSE:WFC) units that made the move include commercial banking, private client, business banking, commercial treasury management, equipment finance, corporate trust and home mortgage services.

M & J Wilkow, Ltd., which bought 11 Stanwix in early 2017, confirmed last November that Wells Fargo was establishing a 15,000-square-foot office at the downtown tower. Terms of the lease were not disclosed.

Wells Fargo had consolidated three downtown business units when it established the regional headquarters at 4 Gateway in 2007. It more than doubled employment within a few years.
