M & J Wilkow, Ltd. announced today that following Slate Office REIT's recent acquisition of 120 South LaSalle Street, a 656,080 square foot office building and adjoining garage, M & J Wilkow Properties has been appointed as the new property manager.

120 South LaSalle Street is a 23-story multi-tenant vintage office building located in the heart of Chicago's Central Business District. Built in 1929 and renovated in 1998, the Class-A office property is anchored by CIBC's U.S. corporate headquarters. The property has a unique light well starting on the sixth floor, as well as a historic second level banking hall distinguished with soaring ceilings and stained-glass windows. Slate Office REIT plans to make a significant investment in the Building's amenity program.

"We are very pleased to be able to grow our relationship with Slate and grateful for the opportunity to not just manage, but serve as steward for such an iconic property on Slate's behalf," said M & J Wilkow Senior Vice President, Marty Sweeney. "120 South LaSalle is the next great historic building in downtown Chicago to undergo a complete transformation with an amenity-rich modern office environment. We look forward to working with Slate's representatives to make their creative vision for 120 South LaSalle a Chicago reality."

With the addition of 120 South LaSalle to its office portfolio, M & J Wilkow now manages five properties in the Chicago CBD. Martha Green will serve as General Manager at 120 South LaSalle, relocating from her current role as General Manager of Slate's 20 South Clark Street office tower in the Central Loop. Sydney Toubman will serve as Assistant General Manager of 120 South LaSalle.
